Progress is saved on your device only. It goes away if the app is deleted, and iOS can also remove an app's saved data on its own when storage runs low or when an app has gone unused for a long time. Restoring a device from a backup taken before you played will not bring it back either.
There is no cloud restore, and this is deliberate rather than an oversight. The cloud copy holds score totals for the leaderboard and nothing else, and the player ID that would tie a save to you lives in the app's Keychain, which iOS deletes along with the app. So a reinstall always starts fresh, as a new player.
No. Time Freeze has no account system, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing that could carry a save across devices. A full device-to-device transfer or an iCloud backup restore will carry the app's data if iOS includes it, which is the one path that works — but there is no in-game way to do it.
The leaderboard needs a network connection. The game itself does not — every level, the Endless Table, and the Daily Puzzle are all playable with no connection at all, and scores sync the next time the app can reach the server.
If other apps clearly have internet and the board still says it is unavailable:
Everything is removed from inside the game, and it takes a few seconds:
This deletes your leaderboard rows and makes the app forget its player ID, so the next sync registers as a brand-new player. Your progress on the device is kept. The deletion cannot be undone.
You can also just email us — but note that we cannot look up which record is yours. The only link between you and a row is a random ID stored in your device's Keychain, so the in-game button is the one reliable way to do it. See the privacy policy for the details.
No. Names like SwiftDragon4821 are generated on our server from your
anonymous player ID, and they cannot be edited. That is what keeps the boards free of
typed content, and it means no name on a leaderboard was written by a person.
Ranks are relative, so they move whenever anyone else posts a better score. A few boards also behave in ways worth knowing:
Two things help. First, check Tutorial Hints in Settings — every chapter introduces its new mechanism on its first level, and hints re-show those prompts. Second, there is no penalty for Restart, and the Endless Table is always open if you would rather come back to a level later.
Most stuck points come down to the freeze timing rather than the route: freeze, move what the frozen moment allows, then resume and watch the result play out.
Check the toggles in Settings: Sound Effects, Ambient Sound, and Haptics. They are independent, so music can be on while effects are off.
The game mixes its audio with whatever else is playing and respects the ring/silent switch, so if your phone is on silent you will not hear it. Haptics also need a device that supports them, and the system-wide haptics setting has to be on.
Yes. Reduce Motion and High Contrast are both in Settings, alongside separate volume levels for effects and ambience.
No. Time Freeze has no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions, and the full game — all 200 levels across 10 chapters, the Endless Table, and the Daily Puzzle — is included.
Yes, entirely. Every level is played on the device. The only thing that needs a network is the leaderboard, and scores sync later without you doing anything.
